Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk are hoping they do not have to take legal action against Tottenham.

Donetsk are resigned to losing Israeli winger Manor Solomon this summer, given he wants to keep playing in the Premier League.

Solomon had a very good year on loan at Fulham, helping the newly promoted club to a mid-table finish.

Per the Evening Standard, Shakhtar hope to come to an agreement with Tottenham over Solomon.

Spurs have agreed a contract with Solomon, who is available on a free transfer after FIFA ruled that Ukrainian clubs had to let their foreign players leave.

Tottenham is an established, respected club with a big history and a huge number of fans around the globe," CEO Sergei Palkin told The Athletic.

We are sure Tottenham executives understand that Shakhtar invested significant money in the Solomon transfer, investment that Ukrainian clubs in our difficult position, simply cannot afford to lose.

We hope we will have a meeting with Tottenham representatives on the eve of our friendly match and in good faith we will find a solution to the Manor Solomon issue. The solution should satisfy both sides."
