Ex-PL striker is ‘impressed’ that United star has flourished amid difficult ‘circumstances’

Rasmus Hojlund finished his maiden Premier League campaign by adding a 10th goal to his account on Sunday.

Indeed, the Manchester United star displayed some remarkable composure to take on Brighton and Hobe Albion’s backline cooly before slotting the ball past Jason Steele to seal a 2-0 Final Day victory.

Hojlund had been made to settle for a second consecutive off-the-bench cameo, yet returned goals both times when entering the fold at the Amex and against Newcastle United midweek.

Erik ten Hag revealed that he was keen to manage the 21-year-old’s minutes, presumably aiming to keep him in top condition ahead of the FA Cup final this Saturday, in which Hojlund could have a significant impact if in his best form.

Ex-PL striker’s praise for Hojlund

Former Brighton frontman Glenn Murray couldn’t help but laud the Dane for his performances in a struggling Red Devils side. He said of Hojlund (via GiveMeSport): “Rasmus Hojlund is a top striker, but he doesn’t get the service he deserves at Man Utd. I have been impressed by how he’s not allowed the circumstances [to] effect him – he is young and full of energy.

“Hojlund is a wonderful centre forward.”
