The Emilia-Romagna GP weekend is in full swing and it has been made a little extra special by the efforts of the former four-time world champion, Sebastian Vettel . Since the start of the weekend, Vettel has been putting immense effort toward remembering the late F1 legend, Ayrton Senna .

A couple of days back Sebastian Vettel staged a run around the Imola track alongside the various F1 drivers. The event also had various other personnel from the sport.

Moreover, after the recent F1 qualifying session, the German was under immense limelight again as he drove Ayrton Senna’s iconic McLaren MP4/8 around the Enzo E Dino Ferrari racing circuit.

From the mentioned video it can be seen that the crowd had gone nowhere after the qualifying session. They were all waiting for the 36-year-old to take the MP4/8 for a spin around the track. The moment Vettel came out of the pits he was greeted with huge cheers by the fans.

Sebastian Vettel feels people ‘still take inspiration’ from Ayrton Senna

Ayrton Senna is seen by several as one of the best drivers to ever step foot into the world of F1. He died on 1st May 1994 during the San Marino Grand Prix around Imola but Vettel still feels, that to date Senna is a huge source of inspiration for people.

The Brazilian left the world as a three-time F1 world champion.

I think, in the end, Ayrton stood for so many causes and had such a great spirit. Probably a lot of people were inspired by his time and his legacy and take inspiration still today in situations like that (Referencing the situation in Brazil) and pass it onto their kids and children and tell the story. Sebastian Vettel said in an interview with Autosport

Both Senna and Vettel are absolute legends of the pinnacle of motor racing. While the 36-year-old has been putting maximum effort toward remembering the former during the ongoing Emilia-Romagna GP weekend, he has also been linked with the 2025 Mercedes seat.

Sebastian Vettel has always kept the door open on a possible return to F1, and his fans are quite desperate to see him sparkle his magic around the various tracks again. Keeping this in view, the upcoming months could see an announcement from Vettel or Mercedes regarding the German’s return to the sport in 2025.
